Simple Nodal Point Location for Panoramas

Some say that finding the nodal point of certain lenses can be difficult. And after struggling a lot with the same problem myself many years ago, I know how frustrating it can be, especially after getting back home and finding you have a really messed up your panorama!

So I have drawn a simple sheet to demonstrate what I find to be the easiest and quickest way to locate the nodal point of any lens (well all the lenses I have owned anyway). And I hope some of you will find it useful.

On different lenses the Nodal point will be in very different positions and normally located between the front lens element and the camera shutter.

Improvement suggestions always appreciated.
